A web app, a repository and an extension are different things
The archived movie-web repository describes a minimal, search-led project with bookmarks. A repository contains source code; opening it is not the same as opening a hosted movie catalog. The archive is useful for understanding the project’s history, not for proving that a similarly named live site is its successor. View the archived project.
Do I need a movie-web extension here?
No. Search, collections, bookmarks and episode checkpoints work without installing an extension. A community version may have its own instructions, but those instructions do not apply automatically to every site sharing a name.
Mozilla’s listing for a movie-web remastered extension describes a separate browser add-on and its permissions. An extension is not an APK, and an Android installer is not a browser bookmark. We do not host either file here. Read the add-on listing.
Why older instructions disagree
Forks can change, move or stop independently. A tutorial mentioning a provider, proxy, extension or account belongs to the version it documents. Check its date and exact project name before assuming it describes the page you have open. For the tools on this site, begin with search tips or the browser app guide.
